Life Cycle Engineering is seeking a Logistician with Navy technician background (with Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) system experience) to join the LCE team in Norfolk, VA.

Position Description:
Life Cycle Engineering is seeking a Logistician with Navy technician background (with Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) system experience) to join the LCE team in Norfolk, VA.
Clearance Requirement:
- Must be a US citizen with an active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for Cargo/Weapons Elevators, Aircraft Elevators, Deck Edge Doors, Hanger Bay Divisional Doors, Vertical Package Conveyors and other assigned equipment as directed.
- Provide engineering/technical assistance, evaluations, assessments, grooms, tests, inspections, operational checks and training in support of HM&E and peripheral systems.
- Conduct fault analysis and the assembly and disassembly of units and subsystems.
- Evaluate, assess, and provide logistical training to Ship's Force.
- Provide input for Technical Assistance Visit Reports (TAVRs) IAW the JFMM requirements for each on board tech assist.
- Provide Total Ship Readiness Assessment (TSRA), operational, and maintenance assessment support and over-the-shoulder training to Ship's Force on HM&E systems, equipment, and related peripheral systems.
- Produce material readiness assessment reports as defined by the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM), Vol. IV, Chapter 8.
- High School Diploma.
- Specialized Experience: Three (3) years full time engineering experience in operation, maintenance, installation, test and/or repair of surface ship Cargo/Weapons Elevators, Aircraft Elevators, Deck Edge Doors, Hanger Bay Divisional Doors, Vertical Package Conveyors .
- Experience in evaluating material condition of ship systems and implementation of corrective action.
- General Experience: Five (5) years full-time technical experience in design, installation, test, and/or repair of mechanical systems/equipment
- Primary focus area is HM&E mechanical systems to include ship's, Cargo/Weapons Elevators, Aircraft Elevators, Deck Edge Doors, Hanger Bay Divisional Doors, Vertical Package Conveyors .
- Familiarity with elevator, door, and conveyor terminologies and configurations.
- Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 75 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting
- Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
- Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment
