About the Job
Develops logistics strategies and recommends changes to processes to keep programs ahead of schedule. Assesses, manages and works to reduce risk factors. Enhances workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory. Creates and reviews procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost. Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times and order fill rates. Maintains appropriate records and prepares reports. Coordinates logistics activities with internal/external customers. Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Typically requires BA and 2-4 years.
Responsibilities:- Oversees the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of replacement components for the DHA JITR operations.
- Ensures the workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building of JITR components.
- Plans the arrangement of JITR components within the DHA JBSA warehouse and organize special requirements for certain components, such as network electronics and inside plant components.
- Ensures productivity targets are met and maintain computerized administration and automated storage and retrieval systems.
- Manages the JITR staff and deal with personnel issues and training. Oversee which staff that coordinate for the picking, packing and distribution activity.
- Maintains a sufficient level of support supplies needed for JITR sustainment activities. Ensures that supply orders are submitted to the government on a quarterly basis.
- Manages the JITR support ticket queue. Assigns tickets to JITR support staff ensuring that the work load is evenly distributed amongst the staff.
- Attends the daily HS3 Staff Meeting and reports and any critical issues to the HS3 chief.
- BA
- Familiar with the following software applications including but not limited to: the MS Office Suit, MS Access, MS Visio, BMC remedy, Service Now and Defense Medical Logistic Standard Support (DMLSS).
- Minimum of ten or more years of experience in logistics.
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a Public Trust clearance. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. Applicant selected will be subject to a federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements.
