Summary:
Responsible for managing and coordinating activities for the Shipping and Warehouse teams and implementing procedures to improve inventory management and storage, outbound shipment efficiencies, and adhering to safety and quality guidelines.
Ownership
Provide genuine leadership and engage with all team members to share company goals and results, project updates and foster the people first culture.
Drive continuous improvement projects and processes by recommending measures to improve efficiencies.
Ensure all needed equipment is available and safely operating. Ensure all safety processes are being followed. Work closely with the safety team to mitigate any known risks.
Assist in planning and executing department huddles/meetings.
Communicate policies and procedures to employees and ensure adherence is consistent.
Implement and review department metrics and identify opportunities for improvement; include productivity goals, hours worked, shipping accuracy, receiving accuracy, wait times, eNPS, etc.
Identify and develop team member skills and assist in HPWs advancement.
Help ensure proper inventory levels are being maintained and communicate opportunities. Help ensure proper storage of inventory onsite, offsite, trailer yard and through alternate solutions.
Ensure all materials are rotated according to FIFO (first in, first out) to help reduce waste. Ensure cycle counts are being conducted according to the set schedule.
Ensure transactions process correctly in the warehouse management system and the ERP system.
Work closely with Inventory Manager to ensure SOP’s are being followed related to receiving and inventory accuracy.
The position has responsibilities related to food safety and quality.
Other duties as assigned.
This position has supervisory responsibilities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s (B.A.) degree in Business Management, Supply Chain or Logistics; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred food/beverage or CPG experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Must have the ability to write reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
