About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Systems Project Manager to join our team. In this role you will be directly responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, and scheduling of multiple commercial data centers and multifamily residential low voltage projects as well as the direct oversight and management of the installation team and project budgets.
Primary Responsibilities:
Direct responsibility and management of the project installation of fire life safety, video, access, intrusion, structured cable, CCTV, DAS, nurse call, paging and other low voltage systems in commercial, data centers and/or multifamily buildings
Directly manage, supervise, schedule, and provide daily direction to an installation team comprised of Project Managers, Installers, Technicians & Foreman.
Responsible for the development and execution of the installation project plan provided including equipment delivery, material procurement, installation, trouble shooting and commissioning to successfully complete our projects while exceeding the customer's expectations.
Coordinate and communicate with the customer, sales team, and other contractors to efficiently complete the project on time and on budget.
Review contract drawings and specifications as well as CSI proposals and shop drawings for accuracy as it pertains to CSI’s scope of work.
Consult with CSI engineering team as need to produce an effective design.
Resolve project design and installation problems through research of multiple alternatives.
Meet with code officials to arrange for building permits, code issues and to discuss the intended wiring and installation methods being used.
Coordinate the project activities with other trades at the work locations to optimize installation time.
Review and understand CSI’s contractual scope of work by reading and interpreting the contract, blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, schematics, and operational product manuals.
Identify out of scope requests by the contractor or customer and notify sales and management of pending changes.
Identify and assist with suggested solutions for an efficient installation to complete scope.
Assist customers on site with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Develop schedule of values for the project and provide monthly billing for each project.
Effectively communicate project status to management.
Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required.
Basic Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record.
Must be proficient in the use and application of industry related equipment including MS Office.
Must have excellent communications skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
Must have at least 5 years of experience managing low voltage system projects.
Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
Minimum of 5-7 years proven experience in Electrical/Fire Alarm/Life-Safety Construction Project Management.
Strong understanding of electrical systems & fire life safety systems and project management methodologies.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians.
Proficiency in project management software and tools. (Procore, Foundations, CE, Plangrid Etc)
Ability to manage large Construction projects.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Knowledge of construction industry standards (Change Orders, RFI’s, ASI’s, Plans/Specs)
Experience with budgeting and financial management.
Experience with ProCor preferred
Ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
