MRI Technologist - No Call at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health

Overview:

Sign-On/Retention incentives: up to $7,500

Pay Range: $33.10 - $51.24 per hour 

D-H MRI Technologists work in an environment that challenges them with a fast pace and wide variety of advanced imaging exams including Breast Imaging, Cardiac Imaging, Functional Brain Imaging, Multi-Parametric Prostate Imaging and many different MRA studies. 

What is great about this position at DHMC for you?  The D-H MRI department is expanding and changing. *Effective summer 2024, the department is expanding to 24/7 coverage and will be eliminating our routine on-call coverage. We invite applications from both new Radiology Technician graduates to whom we will provide training within the modality and seasoned MRI Technologists.

We are currently recruiting for the following shifts:

• Full-time, 40-hour per week, day-shift position working from 7:00am-3:30pm with rotational weekends and holidays

• Full-time, 40-hour per week, working Saturday - Tuesday, with rotational holidays.  

• Full-time, 40-hour per week, working Wednesday - Saturday with rotational weekends and holiday

• Full-time, 40-hour per week, evening-shift position working Monday - Friday, 3:00pm-11:30pm with rotational weekends and holidays

• Full-time, 40 hour per week, night-shift position working Thursday -Wednesday, 7 nights on/7 nights off. 

DHMC offers shift differentials as follows: 10% for evening shift, 20% for night shift and 15% for weekend shifts.

For our full-time positions (30 hours or more) we are offering a $7500 sign-on/retention bonus.  The bonus is for external hires only, and certain conditions apply.

Responsibilities:

1. Reviews medical record for patient history and pertinent information. Reviews requisition with physician. Administers contrast material by means of existing IV line or by performing veno puncture and placing an IV line. Recognizes and responds to hypersensitivity or allergic reaction. Evaluates images and send to PACS.

2. Scans and reviews data on disk. Performs multi-plane reconstructions. Performs archive function. Selects & photographs pertinent data and forward to physician.

3. Reviews studies for overall quality. Illuminates any problems noted which were not part of initial exam.

4. Performs calibration check on equipment. Cleans and performs minor maintenance procedures. Logs problems and usage. Maintains wall units and ambu cord. Orders and maintains supplies.

5. Instructs medical staff and technologists in unit's operations.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology with 1 year of experience required.

Required Licensure/Certifications:

• Registered with the ARRT.

• Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support.

• Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire.
