Salary Range: $32.2800 - $49.6400 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Under general supervision, the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer performs skilled maintenance and repair services for Hoag Hospital and its affiliates (the “Organization”), specifically for Hoag Hospital Irvine (HHI). Repair services can include plumbing, gas, lighting, HVAC and other basic repairs and preventative maintenance to facility. The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer has the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics, along with the knowledge of methods, controls, practices, and techniques of maintaining building and facilities. Displays and practices a work-style that reflects the mission, vision and values of REFCO and the Organization. Participates in the continuous quality improvement process. Maintains a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures, including the use of specialized instrumentation, Quality Control requirements, and preventive maintenance.
The Engineer will be able to manage complex plumbing repairs and installations, correctly installs new framing, drywall and door assemblies and work with electricity, lighting ballast, and plumbing. Able to develop scope of work and manage contractors to complete projects as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma
- Minimum three (3) years experience in building maintenance and repair, preferably in an acute hospital environment
- Ability to perform complex diagnosis and repair of plumbing and lighting, along with pneumatic tube systems, food service equipment and patient equipment
License
Required:
- Current CA driver’s license required for local travel.
Certifications
Preferred:
- CSHE Senior Certification
