About the Job
The Machine Maintenance Technician’s primary responsibility is maintaining all oils, coolant, chips and cleaning of CNC equipment. The technician is also responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery. Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs regularly. Must be able to visually inspect machines. Ability to physically climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintain air in-take filters for all machines and coalescers.
- Regular scheduled checks of coolant using a refractometer.
- Ensure all machine coolant is maintained at the proper levels for manufacturing.
- Analyze and adjust coolant mixture using the correct ratios in the recycling tank and in the machines.
- Fill all oils and grease to the proper levels.
- Empty aluminum chips from bins into the shredder.
- Regular maintenance on the both the shredder and briquetter machines.
- Assist in managing all metal recyclables.
- Regular scheduled cleaning maintenance of all machines.
- Perform other duties as necessary when directed to do so to support business needs.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Related experience preferred.
- Time management skills.
- Familiar will all oils, grease, and coolant used in the equipment.
- Familiar with coolant mixture and additives needed to keep coolant at desired concentration for machinability of the metal being cut in the equipment.
- Must be able to complete regularly scheduled cleaning maintenance to all machines.
- Ability to complete necessary maintenance on both the shredder and briquetter machines.
- Regular on-site attendance is a necessary function of this position.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
