Position Details:
Position Type: Full-Time
Job Location: Hillsdale, MI.
Shift:1st shift (7am-3pm)
Compensation: $20.50/ hour

Summary:
The operator will perform tasks associated with the process of producing a quality product. This may require working on many different tasks during a working shift. We are seeking candidates from all levels of light industrial fields including, warehouse operators, forklift, picking/packing, shipping/receiving, machine operation and maintenance. Individuals should have a commitment to safety and producing quality products. Training will be provided and opportunities for advancement exist.
Duties:
- This location makes industrial adhesives used in the automotive industry
- Operating vehicles, mechanized devices, or powered equipment, such as: forklifts, or lift assists.
- Perform operations and related activities per task instructions to produce adhesives.
- Set up equipment. Select and measure raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare production processing.
- Audit materials before processing and starting against batch list to verify proper materials and quantities.
- Place raw ingredients (liquids, and powders) into a mixer and monitor the process conditions of the equipment and control systems for each batch.
- Comply with and follow established quality control processes.
- Follow established procedures for operating manufacturing equipment for tasks.
- Must be able to trouble shooting skills to resolve and process related deviations or problems. Also perform minor repairs, improvements, and preventative maintenance for the equipment.
- Manually change filtration on equipment and prepare packing and download complete material for shipment.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Forklift experience is required.
- Professional experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Must have strong work history.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow written work instructions is a must.
- Physical requirements include standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Must be able to pass a PFT (Pulmonary fitness test) and color blindness test.
- Be flexible to work overtime and cover other shifts as/if needed.
- Must have basic math and computer skills.
- This position requires the use of the following during operations ( N95 Mask or better, Tyvek Coat, gloves, eyes protection, anti-static steeled toe shoes).
- This position is located in an industrial environment and all employees are expected to follow safety rules, meet production expectations, and uphold quality standards.
- Operators are expected to work overtime when required.
- Candidates cannot begin an assignment without successful drug & background screening clearances.
