About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Works in a manufacturing environment emphasizing teamwork, safety, quality, training, and discipline.
- Follows standardized work procedures and work sequences for each process.
- Works with Team Leader to improve standardized processes/methods, identify waste, methodically eliminate waste, and standardize the new process/methods.
- Directly responsible for the performance of assigned work area.
- Works in a team environment on safety, quality, productivity, and cost-improvement projects.
- Completes all working documentation, records, and reports as requested.
- Understand all SAIA policies and procedures.
- Is proactive and reactive to resolve abnormalities in the process.
- Uses key performance indicators as a method of continuous improvement.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Salary: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
