Machine Operator
Chillicothe, MO
Pay Rate: $20.96
Shifts available: Day 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or Night 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
$2.00 Night shift premium
$2,000 Retention Bonus and competitive benefit package
While reporting to the Supervisor, as a Skilled Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating all manufacturing equipment. Safety, quality, productivity and strong work ethic are important to the Sonoco culture.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Responsible for the proper operation of the extrusion/thermoforming line.
- Must demonstrate working knowledge of plant processing equipment and have an aptitude for problem solving.
- Must be able to properly set-up, startup, operate and shutdown all production equipment.
- Will troubleshoot and correct processing problems.
- Record and share information with other team members to maintain quality and machine efficiencies.
- Performs quality audits.
- Relieve inspector/packers.
- Coordinate line requirements with other departments (Maintenance, Material Handling, and QA).
- Must be proficient on all paperwork
- Other duties as requested by Supervisor

You have experience as a skilled manufacturing operator
2 years of machine operator experience
2 years of manufacturing experience
Ability to read, write, and perform math skills
Understanding of manufacturing and quality control
