The Opportunity
Florence Corporation, the nations leading manufacturer in quality centralized mailboxes is now hiring a Machine Operator for 2nd shift.
Machine Operators are assigned to various pieces of machining equipment such as our CNC, Haas, and EMK according to manufacturing needs. For operational flexibility, the ability to become cross-trained and to rotate jobs is preferred. This role will work on machines that have a computerized component, such as our CNC, HAAS, and EMKs.

General Responsibilities Include
- Learn and follow all work instructions for specific positions
- Willingness to cross train in more than one position
- Participate in problem solving as directed and recommend ideas for continual improvement.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Attend and constructively participate in safety meetings and safety training
- Actively promote safety and wear proper PPE
- Report injuries to supervisor immediately
- Cooperate with fellow employees and supervisor
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with other work groups, both within and outside of his/her department
- Help other coworkers learn their job
- Keep area clean and free from excess clutter to ensure a smooth operation and desirable work conditions
- Understanding and demonstrated performance in managing component parts associated with the job including accounting for use, scrap, rework of material as well as identification, proper storage and care
- Other duties as assigned
What we need
- Punctuality and good attendance required
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow all saftey and product quality guidelines
- Ability to learn positions and work instructions
- Willingness to learn how and safely use hand tools
- Ability to work with minimal Supervision and work with a diverse team
- Ability to stand, lift, walk and bend for up to 10 hours per shift
- Willingness to cross train in other positions as requested
