This role follows a 1st shift schedule, working from 6:30 AM to 3:45 PM, with designated days off on Saturday and Sunday
The Machine Lead is responsible for the week's machine driven production including developing the optimized production plan, managing the machine coordinators and their supporting teams, and troubleshooting equipment. The Machine Lead will be capable of safely starting, operating and locking out multiple pieces of equipment.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Always keeps safety first while using all equipment
- Leads and directs machine operator teams while prioritizing workload daily
- Prioritizes daily production on the equipment to reduce downtime and changeovers
- Uses advanced knowledge of Production based equipment to ensure optimal usage and maximization of output
- Maintains and troubleshoots Production equipment when issues arise. Escalates large issues to upper management and maintenance when needed
- Trains machine operators on equipment usage and data reporting
- Follows all equipment related SOP's and best practices at all times
- Executes thorough inspections of all equipment regularly and partners with the maintenance team when issues are found
- Conducts or monitors the cleaning and sanitization of all equipment regularly
- Follows good manufacturing practices at all times while operating equipment
- Coaches team members when issues arise and when processes are not being followed
- Fills out and turns in all equipment paperwork daily with correct data
- Conducts appropriate equipment audits daily at start/end of shifts
- Holds team accountable for all implemented KPI's for equipment output daily
- Prioritizes equipment related projects while maintaining strong equipment output
- Performs a weekly inventory of equipment related materials

- General high school degree, or equivalent, (e.g. GED)
- 2+ years of experience working in Production environment preferred
