Machinist B - Second Shift - Nova Biomedical

Nova Biomedical is hiring a Machinist B in our Waltham, MA facility on the Second Shift (Monday - Friday (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM - This includes a 10% Shift Differential) The Machinist B is responsible for the operation and set up of all manual and automated equipment in the machine shop.

Other Essential Responsibilities include:

• Ability to set up all shop equipment including the Manual Milling, Lathe and Handscrew machines; the set-up, maintenance, and operation of CNC Millers and Lathes (including tool offsets and editing of CNC programs.
• Responsibility for part quality and performing dimensional inspections while meeting set time standards.

Qualifications:

• Read and write English and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Perform basic math.
• Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Proficient with all shop measuring tools, and is able to read and understand part drawing.

Education/Experience:

• High School or Technical School graduate
• 5-10 years Machine Shop experience
