Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Designing, programming, simulating, and testing complex CNC programs to control machining operations on mills, lathes, and other equipment.
- Setting up, operating, and maintaining various types of CNC machinery including Hurco, VMC, Index, Akuma, Samsung, Mitsubishi, Sinker EDM, Wire EDM, and others.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
- Monitoring the feed and speed of machines during the machining process and making necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy.
- Selecting, aligning, and securing holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
- Detecting malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusting machine controls as required.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Collaborating with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions.
- Conducting regular inspections of machinery, analyzing test results, and adjusting or repairing machines as necessary.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Machinist/Programmer in the manufacturing industry.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with CNC programming, mills, lathes, and various other machinery.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining machinery such as Hurco, VMC, Index, Akuma, Samsung, Mitsubishi, Sinker EDM, Wire EDM, etc.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in CAM and NX software.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work for extended periods.
- A valid machinist certification is a plus.
