Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, 40 hours/week, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Job Focus: This position is responsible to provide direct assistance with the day-to-day Area Services property department operation by performing building and equipment maintenance, grounds keeping, snow removal, minor renovations, sanitation and cleaning, event set-up and clean up, organization of supply areas, and transporting of donations. The Area Services office is located at 966 E. Main Street, Columbus, serves as the home base for this position.
Salary: $18.00 Hour + a fantastic benefit package*

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be safety conscious. Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly, in English.
- At least 21 years old with a valid Ohio Driver’s license and the ability to obtain and maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance standards.
- Must be able to drive a box truck and pass The Salvation Army’s on-line fleet safety driver’s test. Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds
- Must demonstrate a level of competence in property upkeep, equipment maintenance, electrical, plumbing, sanitation, grounds keeping, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and custodial (including care of waxed floors) responsibilities.
- Must be able to safely operate equipment commonly or occasionally used including mowers, tractors, and buffing machines.
- Must possess a flexible attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work unsupervised.
