Position Summary:
As Maintenance Data System Coordinator, you will represent, coordinate, train, and oversee the Automated Information Systems, Maintence Data Systems, and Command Metrics Dashboard for SURFLANT. To be successful in this position it will require expert knowledge and experience with these systems as well as an ability to work across and coordinate with numerous stakeholders.
We are actively recruiting candidates for this position for future work which is expected to start in March 2025.

Clearance Requirement :
- Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance and Common Access Card (CAC)
- Serve as Commander Surface Fleet Atlantic (CNSL) representative on the Requirement Board (chaired by FFC) for Validation Screening and Brokering (VSB)/ Automated Work Notification (AWN)/ Navy Maintenance Database (NMD)/Maintenance Figure Of Merit (MFOM) and Command Metrics Dashboard development, implementation, and modernization.
- Coordinate with MFOM Team, SPAWAR, CNRMC, and CNSP as required. Attend VSB/MFOM meetings on behalf of CNSL.
- Add, modify or edit CNO Availabilities in VSB for CNSL ships.
- Closely coordinate with the CNSP Maintenance Information Systems representative to ensure commonality of processes on both coasts.
- Provide training to CNSL N43 staff personnel on VSB/AWN/NMD/MFOM and the Command Metrics Dashboard.
- Provide oversight for N43 VSB Navy 311 ticket affecting or impacting performance of VSB/AWN/NMD/MFOM systems onboard CNSL ships.
- Function as CNSL POC to CNRMC and SPAWAR for OUTAGE/AIS system issue notifications for all VSB/MFOM users.
- Coordinate VSB/OMMS-NG/AWN CSMP reconciliations. Coordinate VSB/AWN issue discovery, troubleshooting with AIR Team, and notification of "fix to all VSB/AWN users.
- Ensure that deliverables as required by the position and contract are on time, are of high quality, contain few errors and contain accurate information.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Sciences, or related major
- Three years of experience using Navy onboard systems for entry and/or approval of work requests or 2-Kilos to document shipboard maintenance actions
- Three years of experience within last two years with direct involvement with VSB/AWN/NMD/MFOM systems or software.
- Two years of experience in process analysis or project management.
- Proficient with reading and writing Naval Messages, including use of CMP program
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with surface ship with onboard 3M AIS
- SURFLANT/SURFMEPP staff
- PMP/CAPM/Six Sigma Greenbelt
- 3M Coordinator
Physical Demands and Expectations:
- Up to 25% travel
- Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting
- Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
- Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment
