Starting pay is $34.99/hour
Shift: 6am - 2:30pm (for 2 weeks) then 2:30pm-11pm (for 2 weeks) Monday thru Friday
What we offer you:
• Set up and operates all machine shop equipment
• Make repairs and maintains tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, models, instruments and parts
• Assist in size changeovers
• Performs overhauls
• Set dies in machines for production, testing, experimenting, demonstrating, and instruction purposes
• Reports immediately to supervision about all accidents, damage, emergencies, shortages, and problems with equipment and other items that would cause an interruption or problem in the operation
• Read and understand blueprints
• Operate mills, lathes, grinders, and power tools
• Troubleshoot all mechanical components of automated production lines
• Train and gain working knowledge of mechanical components
Job Requirements
• Experience working with close tolerances
• Skilled in setting up and operating all machine shop equipment
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, handbooks, specifications, equipment manuals, parts lists and other written material associated with the trade
Experience/Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Industrial experience preferred
• Journeyman level machinist competency
• Must have served a machinist apprenticeship of 4 years or equivalent experience
Physical Requirements:
• Able to pass physical examination
