Job Details
Maintain and uphold effective maintenance practices on equipment by implementing preventative maintenance programs and procedures.
Assign and monitor preventive maintenance (PPM) work orders, perform daily inspections, and report any necessary adjustments.
Ensure all labor, parts, and tasks are accurately recorded in the CMMS daily.
Review planned job packages for accuracy and completeness, making necessary adjustments and finalizing labor, materials, parts, methods, and priorities. Communicate any changes to the planner.
Lead the maintenance team by assigning tasks based on the skill level of the mechanics.
Provide support and guidance for troubleshooting equipment issues.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives, housekeeping efforts, and safety measures in the department, including the shop area, spare parts room, and offices.
Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards by implementing required safety programs, conducting formal training sessions, and monitoring adherence.
Manage maintenance budget and expenses effectively.
Oversee relationships with contractors and service providers.
Collaborate in the planning and development of future production capacities by attending design meetings, coordinating with R&D on product changes and improvements, and updating maintenance procedures and schedules accordingly.
Handle the creation of capital project requests, plan and organize work for capital projects, and ensure completion within the set timeframe and budget.
Maintain assigned Food Safety and Quality Systems.
Participate in facility audits and assist in addressing corrective actions resulting from those audits.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of experience in managing the maintenance, repair, and/or assembly of equipment.
Strong understanding of preventive maintenance and repair procedures.
Knowledge of Statistical Process Control, planning, problem-solving, and data collection.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) from an accredited institution is preferred.
Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance within industrial food manufacturing is an advantage.
Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
