Maintenance Manager - Center Mfg

Diagnoses, troubleshoots, repairs, andmaintainselectrical and mechanical machinery and equipment to ensure safety and quality standards are met. 

1. Ensuresthat equipment is on the preventative maintenance program, schedules are valid, thorough, and completed according to the system schedule.  
2. Establish standards and policies for installation, modification, testing, operating procedures,inspectionand maintenance of equipment according to engineering principles and safety regulations.  
3. Programs, troubleshoots, andmaintainsPLCs (programmable logic controllers) and other forms of industrial automation. 
4. Plans, coordinates, and schedulesall predictive and preventative maintenance programs for structures, utilities, and equipment.  
5. Providestechnical support to other departmentsregardingprocess and/or equipment changes.  
6. Installs wiring circuits, switches, controls, and other electronic devicesin accordance withspecifications.  
7. Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems and makes necessary repairsina timelyfashion to reduce downtime. 
8. Management of spare parts, material, and inventories. 
9. Identifiesareas where operations can be improved and made more efficient. Carries out solutions to repair or upgrade equipment for improved operations. 
10. Initiatespurchaseordersfor parts and machines. 
11. Practices lock out/tag out safety procedures andutilizesPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adheres to all safety and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and guidelines. 
12. Perform all other maintenancemanagerduties and responsibilities.

Job Skills Requirements 

• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, andschematics.  

• Strong knowledge ofelectromechanicalcodes, standards, and safety practices.  

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to the highest quality workmanship.  

• Physical stamina to work in various positions for extended periods.  

• Advance knowledge of pneumatic, wiring,and hydraulic systems. 

Educational Requirements 

• High School Diploma or equivalent education. 

Experience Requirements 

• 5 to 10 years professionalmaintenanceexperience in the manufacturing industry.  

Physical & Environmental Requirements 

• Some physical demand. Often lifts light to heavy-weight material. Frequent lifting/moving average weight (up to 50lbs/11-27 kgs) material.     

• Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling, and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).     

• Ability tooperatemotorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours).     

• Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours).     

• May be exposed to noise levels for which hearing protection must be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).   

• AssistsPlant Managerinoff-hours maintenance calls as needed.
