Key objectives for this role:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for MIC Group's Maintenance programs. Identifies and evaluates working conditions and makes adjustments to safeguard employee, machinery assets, and company health. Establishes and leads the maintenance efforts to maximize machine availability, and operational capability through the predictive and preventive measures of a TPM system. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, machinery and facilities equipment and buildings, operating procedures, and working conditions. Hires, trains, and evaluates maintenance staff. Ensures equipment performance and quality goals are met. It is the responsibility of each employee to ensure that the customer product and company requirements are met while meeting the requirements of the ISO 9001/AS 9100 Quality Management System, and defined Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulatory requirements.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compile, analyze and communicate metrics and KPI's via monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
- Serves as a management-level champion for EH&S program especially Lock-Out / Tag-Out
- Plans and conducts comprehensive audits with regard to machine uptime and preventive maintenance
- Conducts hazard analysis and defines and implements process improvements to mitigate risks
- Establishes and maintains the TPM system, ensuring all necessary activities are planned and completed
- Supervise maintenance team to ensure each plant's needs are met in a timely manner
- Champion machine availability and machining accuracy throughout all facilities
- Conducts monthly, quarterly and annual inspections on equipment, facilities/grounds. and work areas
- Our ideal candidate must have an in-depth understanding of CNC precision machining equipment and processes, high alloy steels with tight tolerances, and expertise in various machine controls.
- Lead and mentor staff to promote a safe and responsible work environment
- Willingness to work additional hours, holidays, weekends as required

Requirements:
- Minimum 7-years' experience managing a maintenance team in a machine shop environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral and be able to work with all levels of management throughout the company
- Ability to quickly and efficiently diagnose root cause effects and solutions pertaining to machine downtime and process deficiencies
- Ability to schedule initiatives and meet target dates
- Plant facilities management experience preferred with working knowledge of MEP systems
- Safe work habits, following proper LOTO and other OHSA requirements
- Demonstrated experience directly communicating and negotiating with vendors and suppliers
- Direct experience with managing a TPM system or process is desired
- Experienced in reading schematics and basic understanding of GD&T is required
- A hands-on career in manufacturing and precision machining environment
- Track record of managing, mentoring, coaching, and directing teams
- Machine Controls experience including Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens, and/or Okuma
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
