Maintenance Mechanic for a Food Manufacturer– 3rd shift, 10:45pm - 7:00am

Qualifications:

• Basic English verbal and written skills, bi-lingual a plus
• Basic knowledge of computer functions on a keyboard
• Maintains clean self-image for working in a “Good Manufacturing Practices” environment
• Good attendance required.  Able to work extended hours.
• Able to communicate and work well with others
• Able to problem solve.  Has good organization skills
• Has a history if practicing safe work habits
• High school diploma or GED and able to perform basic math
• Not mentally or physically impaired from any cause that can adversely affect ability to safely and competently perform required functions

Working Conditions:

• Manufacturing and warehouse environment.
• Warehouse freezer & refrigeration climate.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, kneel, sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to lift and stack product up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in various temperatures of extreme ranges.

 Duties & Responsibilities:

• Able to perform preventive maintenance, repairs and equipment.
• Some knowledge of manufacturing or equivalent maintenance work environment.
• Some maintenance experience.  Prefer electrical or refrigeration or HVAC.
• Work independently to perform simple maintenance tasks.
• Follows standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Keeps the maintenance supervisor and/or manager properly informed on all abnormal or critical situations and seeks advice on matters outside of their knowledge or authority.
• Makes recommendations for improvements.
