Waukesha County's Department of Public Works' Facilities Division is looking for a maintenance mechanic to join its team.
The Maintenance Mechanic I performs a variety of maintenance and minor repair work to the interior and exterior of County buildings, assisting our seasoned/experienced Maintenance Mechanics II & III in plumbing, heating, electrical, or carpentry repairs.
Work Schedule - the current opening is for 2nd Shift and includes working nights, weekends, overtime, holidays, and at odd hours when emergency situations require such duty:
The starting hourly rate range is $24.69 to $28.67 depending upon qualifications (full range extends to $32.65) coupled with a comprehensive compensation and benefits package including excellent health/dental/vision, life insurance, generous paid time off (vacation, 9 holidays, 3 floating holidays, ample accrued sick time that rolls over each year), an exceptional pension plan with employer match and lifetime retirement payment plus an optional tax advantaged 457 retirement savings plan. - First two (2) weeks: First Shift, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday.
- Regular work schedule: Second Shift: 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
