- A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited institution, or 5 years of previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in technical planning or project management.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced in hydraulics, understanding circuits, pumps, valves, actuators, and the ability to read schematics.
- Experience with electrical systems, understanding of motors, drives, plc, switches, and the ability to read schematics
- Experience with natural gas combustion with knowledge of safety systems
- Experience with 5 axis industrial robotics, preferably ABB
- Industrial Journeyman status
- A high degree of organizational skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- A strong ability to prioritize amid an ever-changing environment to ensure actions/plan have the highest impact to overall plan performance.
- Experience with Maintenance Management Systems, and maintenance planning.
- A high degree of interpersonal skills to influence others within/outside of the department to promote successful project execution.
- Experience/certifications in Six Sigma

The Maintenance Planner located in Cleveland, OH, primary role is to improve workforce productivity and work quality by eliminating, in advance, potential delays and obstacles through proper work planning of parts, machine time and manpower. Responsibilities include:
- Receives, reviews and processes all work orders from the requesting departments.
- Develops sketches, diagrams, etc. to clarify the intent of the work order.
- Reviews and screens each work order for completeness, including: work scope, priority and requested work date expectations are attainable, and charge numbers and coding are complete.
- Ensures work requested is necessary and escalates to maintenance leadership if conflicts arise.
- Obtains blueprints, drawings, manuals and procedures as needed to clarify the intent of the work order.
- Examines jobs to be done with the supervisor and determines best way to accomplish the work.
- Identifies and obtains all materials as required for the work order, identifies any special tools or equipment required.
- Ensures safety is given a top priority in work planning.
- Estimates jobs by showing sequences of steps, number of craftsmen and type, and man hours for each task.
- Prepares a weekly forecast of all planned jobs available for upcoming scheduling.
- Maintains backlog files of work orders awaiting scheduling in accordance with priority and estimated completion dates.
- Attends meetings with production and maintenance supervisors to define the planned work to be scheduled for the next shutdown.
- Plans predictive technology work with direction from the maintenance leadership.
- Follows up with supervisors to ensure work orders are returned at the proper time and for level of completeness.
- Uses the CMMS to develop a file of standard work orders for regularly recurring repair jobs based on historical experience.
- Reviews with the maintenance supervisor the actual labor expended versus estimate to determine corrective measures needed to improve accuracy or quality of work.
- Makes recommendations for system improvements.
- Maintains records and files and prepares accurate control reports.
- Lead job/outage as required.
- Lead follow-up meetings to capture learning from crafts/operators and capture improvements in procedures.
