Job Summary:
This position is responsible for developing maintenance plans and schedules based on recurring preventive maintenance activities, predictive maintenance data and KPIs. Key activities for this position include screening CMMS software work orders, auditing equipment to document work requirements and quality, estimate labor hours, materials, tools and equipment for all assigned work orders to support a proactive, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) program. This role will work closely with Maintenance management, Maintenance Technicians, Control Systems Technicians and Operations teams to plan, coordinate and schedule proactive maintenance activities during available downtime windows. This will help prevent unplanned downtime of material handling equipment and disruption to production activities. The Reliability Maintenance Planner / Coordinator will have a strong focus on Nature's Bakery leadership principles of Innovation, and Ownership of their maintenance program. This role supports the Maintenance Manager with data entry and file system management and serves as a backup for the Parts Inventory Coordinator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews all work requests that are being entered into the CMMS system.
- Works with stockroom personnel to verify availability of parts and materials.
- Attended the production weekly scheduling meetings and input maintenance down time when needed.
- Develop a Maintenance planning meeting and have all cross functional teams attend for input and request.
- Schedules and participates in regular work forecast
- Manages and reports the work order backlog using Maintenance Connection. This CMMS system will be changing to SAP, so would need to be able to perform same task in SAP.
- Prepares a draft schedule weekly for the coming week based on PM (Preventive Maintenance) and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) work orders, priority orders, carry-over work to be continues, etc., using the CMMS system.
- Update task lists to improve work order structure when maintenance team request a change to PM task list.
- Maintain plant and equipment records of maintenance actions; distributes reports and other documentation as required by plant policies and procedures using SAP
- Plan weekend/shutdown work for all Maintenance activities from our CMMS program.
- Ensure availability of parts for both planned and unplanned work orders before scheduling the any work.
- Kitting parts for all downtime events such as PM days, and weekend work/shutdowns, and any available downtime that presents itself.
- Prepares requisitions for on-site contractor support, and ensures policy adherence during on-site activities
- Update equipment BOM's for accuracy, Create Part numbers, and add created part numbers into our CMMS software.
- Sourcing parts from other factories as needed (working with the storeroom)
- Manage and report Maintenance KPI's such as PM Completion %, Reactive vs Planned %, and PM Monthly Cost.
- Assist with CMMS onboarding training for new hires
- Coordinate activities and provide direction to Maintenance Department for daily, and all down time events.
- Will assist management in providing weekend coverage
- Develop and maintain strong communication with various departments within the company.
Qualifications:
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- 1-3+years' experience planning, scheduling and auditing overall facilities/maintenance activities.
- 1-3+years' of experience as a maintenance planner/scheduler working within an industrial maintenance complex, manufacturing/distribution industries, or related field
- Subject matter expert (SME) level knowledge of CMMS use
- Functional maintenance experience in a reliability centered maintenance environment
- Extensive technical knowledge of diverse MHS, industrial mechanical and electrical systems and automation, controls and robotics systems
- Successful completion of training and certification activities.
- Ability to make decisions based on standard practices.
- Capability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot, and solve problems.
- Basic understanding of sanitation processes and related equipment.
- Willingness to fulfill overtime obligations when needed.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical school or associate's degree is a plus.
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- 1+ years of using a computer maintenance management system in planning, scheduling and auditing overall facilities/maintenance activities experience
- 1+ years of working with computers and Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing supplies.
- Prior experience in industrial maintenance, maintenance administration, or planning is preferred.
