Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor, Campus Recreation. - Boca Raton, FL.
The Maintenance Supervisor, Campus Recreation will provide functional leadership for facility maintenance and custodial services for the Campus Recreation Department. Responsibilities include risk management, enforcing policies and procedures, and compliance with Florida Atlantic and applicable national standards and best practices.
Summary of responsibilities:
Facility Operations:
+ Prepares cost estimates and maintains records of job/project costs.
+ Organizes requests for the purchase of tools, equipment, and materials.
+ Responsible for day-to-day work order response and maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule for identified buildings/areas.
+ Conduct weekly building walks to ensure buildings are safe, secure, and well-maintained, addressing concerns as needed.
+ Provide guidance, training, and recommendations for all building systems, repairs, and collaboration with campus partners for repairs and preventative maintenance.
+ Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and standards, as well as campus safety, security, and facilities maintenance protocols.
+ Assist with the maintenance needs on the Jupiter and Davie campuses as needed
Staff Development and Supervision:
+ Provide oversight for the hiring, selection, training, and evaluation of facilities and custodial staff at the Boca campus.
+ Lays out jobs and maintains schedules for work.
+ Contribute to the development and submission of facility assessments and evaluations related to staff development, including technical skills, learning outcomes, and leadership.
Planning and Strategic Initiatives:
+ Analyze maintenance trends and develop proactive plans to address concerns.
+ Assist with all emergency procedures, including emergency weather response plans.
+ Assist with the development and management of the annual budget for all facility operations.
+ Coordinate services with departmental leadership and campus partners, including service contracts, preventative maintenance schedules, capital projects, and record-keeping.
+ Represent the university on appropriate committees at the national, state, and university levels as required.
+ Perform other job-related duties as necessary to accomplish the responsibilities of the position.

Minimum Qualifications:
A high school diploma and five years of appropriate experience required.
Salary:
$50,000 - $55,000 per year.
