Job purpose
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordinating activities within the maintenance department. They will work with technicians to identify issues and decide on required actions. This position will include reviewing work orders and prioritizing them to ensure a continuous production operation. Their key focus will be to develop maintenance staff and monitor their progress. Also, collaborate with Maintenance Manager on strategies and opportunities for training and advancement of technician's skill level.
Duties and responsibilities
-Planning, prioritizing, assigning, and participating in all related maintenance operations
-Scheduling Work Order repairs to ensure continuous production operations
-Inspects machines and equipment for conformance with operational and regulatory standards
-Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations
-Responsible for handling emergency after-hour calls for maintenance repairs
-Planning daily tasks and delegating them to other maintenance personnel
-Collaborates with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment
-Supports training and continuous development for personnel
-Communicate accomplishments and concerns on all platforms including daily shift reports
-Follows all food safety guidelines and protocols while servicing equipment
-Help develop maintenance policies and procedures to ensure safety compliance
-Conduct annual reviews of technicians reporting to this position
Qualifications
-Minimum of 5-7+ years experience in a Maintenance Supervisor position
-Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, and leadership technique
-Must be able to read English and follow equipment manual instructions
-Must possess knowledge of a specific skill set: HVAC, Electrical, Machining, welding, etc.
-Must have experience in specialized repair: Fabricating, Controls, Machining, Welding, etc.
-Must be able to perform highly complex diagnostics on low & high voltage, data analysis, programming, PanelView trouble shooting, etc.
-Able to schedule day-to-day equipment PMs and WOs
-Prior experience in the food industry a plus
-Knowledge of OSHA, local, state, and federal health and safety regulations
-Molding equipment and chocolate tempering experience preferred

-Organized, detail orientated, and a can-do, hands-on work ethic
-Proficient computer skills with EXCEL, WORD; CAD a plus
-Excellent technical knowledge of equipment, products, and processes
-Strong knowledge in Maintenance & Reliability
-Self-motivated, results orientated, and excellent personal skills
-Knowledge in utilizing a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) a plus
-Strong background in HACCP, Safety, GMPs, and regulatory Food Safety Audits
Working conditions
-Must be able to work any hours/days, including holidays and/or weekends
Physical requirements
-A non-slip work shoe, steel toe when job requires
-Pre-shift stretch and exercises to be performed
-Hair restraint, beard net (if needed), and safety gloves as needed
-All required PPEs are worn properly when working with equipment or chemicals that require personal protection
-Position requires the ability to: stand, sit at a desk, walk around the facility, lift and carry equipment parts (up t0 50-LBS unassisted), utilize fine dexterity, reach, kneel, crawl, and twist to inspect equipment. Requires ability to stand most of shift.
-Also requires the ability to: see, hear, and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette
