About the Job
Our client a locally owned and operated food manufacturer is currently seeking a 3rd shift Maintenance Technician for their Ephrata location.
The Production Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains production line equipment, troubleshoots equipment failures, and performs routine and emergency mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic, and electrical maintenance. In addition, he or she helps install new equipment and fabricates new equipment or supplemental pieces when needed.
The ideal candidate has 18-36 months of experience in mechanical systems maintenance for a high-speed production line. Candidates must have maintenance experience with high-speed packaging equipment. Knowledge and advanced skills in pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, bearing, chains and belting, conveying systems, valves, basic blueprint reading, and mechanical troubleshooting. We are looking for a team player who can work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, is physically able to perform the duties of the job (move heavy equipment/machinery, climb ladders, perform repetitive motions, walk/stand, etc.), has strong communication and customer service skills.
Hours:
3rd Shift 8:30pm-6ampm Sunday-Thursday

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshoot failures in order to repair and maintain complex production equipment.
- Ensure machinery operates efficiently and effectively to meet productivity requirements.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures.
- Manages all required paperwork and records and prepares documentation (forms, reports, etc.) when needed.
- Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required.
- Performs basic maintenance and upkeep of facilities, grounds, and buildings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- 18-36 Months of progressive and relevant Maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with co-workers, vendors, and others.
- Able to work independently on projects and as a member of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Highly professional and dependable
- Able to work a flexible schedule, which may include working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Available for emergency on-call
- Basic computer and internet skills
