About the Job
Gpac is currently working with a food manufacturer in northern Iowa who is seeking a Maintenance Technician to add to their team. Business is booming and the company is going through rapid growth! They just completed an expansion project and looking to bring someone on as soon as possible!
Relocation assistance is offered.
This person will be responsible for:
- Conducting routine maintenance and scheduled PM services for all areas of the plant
- Work closely with department supervisors to ensure equipment is running smoothly
- Inspect, diagnose, and tests machinery and equipment including pre-operational inspections to ensure production lines are in good mechanical order
- Troubleshoot, repair and replace machines and equipment as needed
- Complete all tasks in the safest and most efficient manner, complying with safety regulations and meeting all federal, state and local environment requirements
An ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 2 years expdrience as a maintenance technician working in a food manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Basic computer and tablet skills
- Ability to work as a team or individually
- Must be able to work in areas of extreme heat, and very cold conditions.
- Familiar with plant safety
Client is targeting $20-$38/hr DOE
