Summary
The Maintenance Technician II ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications and troubleshooting.
Essential Functions
- Assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Troubleshooting machinery and performing routine preventative maintenance.
- Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals.
- Maintaining a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.
- Cleaning, repairing and installing equipment and parts as needed.
- Operating a variety of hand and power tools.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Complying with health and safety regulations.
- Performing general maintenance work on buildings as assigned.
Supplemental Duties
- Comply with Disaster preparedness and Emergency Procedures.
- Follow ISO type process work instructions and procedures.
- Actively comply with company safety policies and procedures
- Provide subject matter expertise for software implementations and upgrades.
- Ensure the highest level of process compliance and accuracy are maintained for all activities.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma/GED.
- 3 - 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar role.
- Trade or vocational school graduation preferred.
- Verifiable certification in Robotics and/or CNC operation preferred.
- Knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability.
- Strong computer skills.
- Physical dexterity.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
