About the Job
We have an outstanding Contract position for a Maintenance Technician to join a leading Company located in the Louisa, VA surrounding area.
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and systems. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and implement repairs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions.
- Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance without disrupting operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
- Participate in training and development programs to stay current with industry standards and technologies.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a relevant field preferred.
Desired Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts as needed.
