Management Analyst III - Program Analyst Households with Children - Fairfax County

The Fairfax County Department of Housing and Community Development works in partnership with the Redevelopment and Housing Authority to serve the people of Fairfax County by creating housing opportunities to promote inclusive and thriving communities. The Program Analyst manages homeless assistance programs for households with children, including emergency shelter, homelessness prevention, rapid rehousing, and permanent supportive housing in coordination with budget and contract staff. Program monitoring assignments and responsibilities may change to correspond with changes in the Continuum of Care (CoC). Coordinates meetings and workgroups with contractors and other county human service agencies to establish uniform policies and practices. Provides consultation and guidance to contractors to support service delivery to households with children using a multi-generational, whole family approach. Provides guidance to family shelter intake process, including motel placements for families when necessary. Provides strategic planning and analyses of program performance data, develops tracking methodology, and prepares reports as needed.
This position also represents the Office to Prevent and End Homelessness (OPEH) on various workgroups that are convened to improve services for households with children experiencing homelessness. Collaborates with other divisions and departments to coordinate efforts to maintain and upgrade shelter facilities. Coordinates with leasing and facilities team when facility concerns impact program continuity to ensure no interruption in program services. Prepares monthly/quarterly/annual reports, grant applications, renewals, and presentations as needed. Reviews and approves monthly invoices, coordinates contract meetings, and yearly reviews of budget requests.
