Summary:
Manages daily operations of assigned site(s), ensuring quality, cost-effective, and efficient workflows, and processes between the clinical and operational disciplines, resulting in a positive patient experience. Plans, coordinates, and evaluates, in conjunction with other stakeholders, all site staff. Responsible for the staffing for patient care delivery in the ambulatory clinics, including management of work assignments, overtime, budget and ratio targets through assigned staff, float requests and flexible scheduling. Accountable for implementation and sustaining operations of current and new initiatives that impact the growth and development of site and service lines. Assists with enforcing Joint Commission and regulatory standards at site(s). Ensures staff are aware and comply with MetroHealth patient care practices, clinical quality initiatives, and human resources policies. Implements Ambulatory site operations initiatives, standards, and professional development for all personnel under their direction. Serve as a role model, and an on-site resource person for patient or practice concerns. Works collaboratively with service line and support staff on deployment, onboarding and in identifying opportunities for new or revised programs to ensure access, service line growth as well as an effective, high quality, skilled and motivated workforce. Qualifications:
Required:
Possesses education and experience in Nursing or Operational leadership as demonstrated by one of the following:
A. All Nurses:
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Current registered nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Two years recent management, leadership, or staffing experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
• Specialty Certification
B. Other Disciplines:
• Bachelor's Degree in a Healthcare related field.
• Four years combined progressively responsible clinical and management experience in an ambulatory or inpatient setting.
Additional Requirements:
Current AHA certification(s) relevant to clinical practice area or obtains within 6 months of hire.
Excellent interpersonal skills along with experience in working with multi-disciplinary groups.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent critical thinking and analytical aptitude.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal/written communication and delegation and problem-solving skills.
