As the Manager of Tax Accounting, you will excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, bringing focus and energy to deliver results under tight deadlines. This highly visible role covers all aspects of taxation, requiring you to build relationships across all levels of the Finance Department and report directly to the Vice President of Tax.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare quarterly ASC 740 provisions and related financial statement disclosures.
- Develop, support, and maintain the company's uncertain tax positions.
- Monitor, analyze, and implement changes in financial reporting standards.
- Analyze and record adjustments related to mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions, including purchase accounting adjustments.
- Prepare computations of book-tax differences, supporting work papers, account reconciliations, and documentation.
- Plan, organize, and manage projects related to tax accounting and applicable tax controls.
- Research and develop tax positions, drafting memorandums for emerging tax accounting issues.
- Maintain and comply with the company's key tax-related controls.
- Design, implement, and maintain tax policies and procedures.
- Collaborate on projects requiring technical knowledge, teamwork, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Work closely with the Tax Team to achieve company and functional goals.
What You'll Bring:
- BS/BA degree in accounting or taxation; CPA required.
- At least five years of corporate income tax provision and compliance experience in public accounting or with a multinational entity.
- Advanced knowledge of ASC 740 and strong research abilities with effective communication skills.
- Excellent understanding of US federal and state corporate income tax laws and regulations.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and interact with all areas of Finance.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Ability to interface with senior management and present complex tax issues in simple terms.
- Professional and diplomatic interaction with external tax advisors, tax auditors, and internal departments, including internal audit.
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
