Manager, Distribution Services - Superior Essex

Essential Duties:
Responsible for daily operational management of a Regional Distribution Center (RDC) while supporting operational requirements of assigned warehouse locations (Eastern / Western Warehouses). Support may include on-site management when needed, guidance to solve problems and issues as they arise, and ensuring compliance to all policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

* Provides supervision and direction to assigned warehouse locations.
* Responsible for monitoring and controlling operating budgets within the network.
* Work with Director, Logistics to develop capital spending plans.
* Involved in employee hiring process as needed.
* Perform on-site audits to ensure fulfillment of company policies, safety and regulatory compliance.
* Involved in lease negotiations as needed.
* Understanding of customer and market expectations in relationship to each location's product groups.
* Provide insight and participation in Supply Chain studies.
* Determine corrective action response to failures arising through the Supply Chain (warehousing and transportation).
* Provide monthly location / warehouse updates.

Education and Experience:

* Preferred Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university in Logistics, Business or equivalent
* 5+ years of related experience
* Strong leadership with the ability to get results.
* Ability to manage within a multiple location network
* Effective coaching, facilitation, and team-building skills.
* Warehouse Management System experience preferred
* Demonstrated personal computer proficiency. Strong interpersonal and team-building skills. High initiative and follow-up skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
