Manager R2R Inventory and Product Cost Accounting
The Manager, Inventory Accounting & Reporting, will be responsible for assisting multiple as-pects of the accounting and reporting for goods, as well as reporting for inventories in production at plant facilities.
Further, this role will be responsible for inventory-related tasks associated with month-end closings, reporting, Balance Sheet review / reconciliations, financial controls, and collaborating closely with and auditors for the assigned division(s) in the US
Job Activities
Manage month end close review process by reviewing account reconciliations and perform-ing checks by running a month over month balance sheet analysis and write off analysis. En-sure all balance sheet and income statement inventory accounts are correctly represented at month end.
Manage the Novartis Product Margin Reporting (NPMR) process, including cost, BoM, In-come Statement and Inventory download, analysis and upload.
Manage Product costing in SAP by creating excel templates and running costing cycles in SAP. Manage the product cost budgeting process, prepare and run budget costing cycles and upload into NPMR.
Help drive operational excellence with full alignment with all Novartis business, compliance and audit requirements.
Manage monthly inventory reserve process, including booking auto trade reserve program and manual journal entries. Manage product reval/deval impacting inventory reserves.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including cross-divisional business colleagues, both internal and external accounting authorities/auditors, and Division and Group Financial Reporting and Accounting, and ensure appropriate communication with these stakeholders when ques-tions regarding Inventory accounting/reporting matters arise.
Ensure the effective application of related Novartis control procedures within the Inventory Accounting function.
Provide timely statutory and country reporting information to internal and external stake-holders, including regional finance officers.
Manage compliance and audit reporting processes, provide analysis of financial information (monthly, quarterly and annual data) and ensure provision of necessary data to internal and external authorities.
Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Novar-tis products within 24 hours of receipt.
Education and other requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Accounting and/or Finance
Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting or Business preferred
5+ years of Financial experience
CPA or CMA preferred
Ability to participate in and drive meaningful improvements in performance, quality and efficien-cy through system and process innovation and effective project management
Ability to work effectively in a multi-national, matrix organization, and build mutually productive business partner
Demonstrated understanding of key business fundamentals and value drivers
Knowledge of IFRS (GAAP), accounting and financial reporting requirements, Enterprise systems knowledge (SAP)
Experience of managing projects driving performance (e.g. ERP implementation)

Pay Rate:$76-$124.29 based on qualifications (W-2/only)
Contract: 7+ months
