Manager, Learning & DevelopmentThe Manager, Learning & Development will lead and support the learning and development programming of the organization by administering the company learning management system (LMS), developing / facilitating training content and programming based on organizational needs, coordinating relevant logistics with third-party providers, and providing administrative support for the learning and development function.
This role is new to the organization and will have the opportunity to help expand learning and development practices across the company.
Essential Functions & Requirements:
- Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times
- Maintains the organization's learning management system to track completion of compliance and on-demand courses and programming registration / participation
- Partners with Human Resources and business leaders to identify organizational training needs
- Curates tailored learning pathways from existing content catalog, utilizing instructional design tools as necessary to develop internal training as dictated by business needs
- Represents the organization as primary point of contact for all third-party learning partners
- Serves as the account administrator for all third-party learning platforms
- Delivers training content through a variety of formats, including in-person workshops and webinars as dictated by business needs
- Creates and maintains the organization's Learning & Development SharePoint site to promote upcoming sessions and events
- Develops on-going communication campaigns to advertise training opportunities for live in-person and virtual sessions, as well as marketing on-demand content to employees
- Completes relevant administrative tasks for training sessions including scheduling, ordering materials, arranging meeting spaces, catering, etc.
- Updates and revises training materials as needed to ensure they remain current and relevant
- Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs through surveys and participant feedback
- Supports the strategic plan for employee development across the organization
- Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development, psychology, or a related field (required)
Experience:
- 5 years of related experience in a learning and development role (required)
- Previous experience serving as a learning management system administrator (required)
- Previous experience utilizing instructional design platforms (required)
- Previous experience in training and development session facilitation (preferred)
Competencies:
- Proven oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization
- High level of organization and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and demonstrate a professional presence
- Creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to effectively navigate through ambiguity
- Ability and desire to facilitate workshops and present to groups of varying sizes
