The Manager, Portfolio Forecasting, is responsible for delivering key insights on the pharmaceutical market and Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine portfolio performance. This position will support portfolio demand forecasting activities for financial forecast cycles and recurring integrated business planning (IBP) cycles. Key responsibilities include issuing guidance to CIS stakeholders, providing central management of the forecasting technology platform, consolidating forecast outputs and assumptions for senior leadership presentations, and presenting forecast performance assessment analyses to senior leadership and other CIS stakeholders. This position will also assist with inputs for market, portfolio, and recurring business updates for senior leadership.
Responsibilities:
• Support the centralization of the CIS forecasting function for the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine portfolio:
o Communicate centralized and standardized guidance to CIS forecasters for calendar milestones and expectations for all financial forecast & IBP cycles
o Represent CIS forecasting on the cross-functional IBP core team; influence ways of working to simplify the IBP processes and manage key follow-ups with CIS brand forecasting teams
o Proactively seek opportunities for and implement forecasting process improvements and smart standardization to help drive CIS forecaster efficiency and reduce work demands
o Collaborate closely with external partners to ensure seamless support for CIS forecasters and efficient use of external partner resources
• Provide regular forecast updates for CIS and CS&O senior leadership:
o Provide forecast consolidation and forecast accuracy analyses for the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine portfolio
o Liaise with FP&A and Brand Finance on source of truth and data reconciliations
o Lead the preparation for CS&O forecast consolidation reviews for all financial forecast cycles; provide templates and consolidate forecast outputs and assumptions
o Support development of forecast performance presentations & visualizations
• Support the ownership of the centralized forecasting technology platform:
o Provide leadership for a forecasting technology transformation initiative in 2024, collaborating closely with external implementation partners
o Lead the effort to gain alignment on standardized, consistent, best practice forecasting process recommendations
o Partner effectively with CIS forecasting teams through technology transformation to become a subject matter expert (SME) in the new platform and to create central knowledge around forecast model design
o Develop and implement effective change management strategies to ensure accountability of CIS forecasting team members and adoption of new ways of working
o Assist development of forecasting technology training materials
• Drive a culture of collaboration within CIS forecasting, across therapy areas:
o Lead the agenda management for monthly Forecasting Forum events (quarterly forum, spotlights, and lunch & learns)
o Engage with forecasting community through SharePoint portal & sharing of CIS portfolio forecast performance analytics
o Lead ad hoc workstreams to drive solutions to key forecasting process opportunities• Minimum of BA/BS is required
• Advanced degree is preferred
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant business experience in market research, forecasting, marketing intelligence, sales, business analytics, strategic planning, finance, management consulting is required
• Self-motivation and a high degree of intellectual curiosity
• Strong leadership agility and success solving ambiguous business issues
• Proven success partnering across the commercial organization to generate actionable insights and recommendations
• Experience shaping and influencing organizational decision-making
• Strength in storytelling, data visualization and developing effective presentations
• Knowledge across a broad spectrum of forecasting and analytic approaches and ability to identify appropriate approach to address key business questions
• Knowledge and demonstrated use of syndicated healthcare data sources and suppliers
• Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) is required
• Experience with Tableau or PowerBI is preferred
This position is based in Horsham, PA or Titusville, NJ; one must be flexible to travel to the other office based on assignment/project and requires up to 30% domestic travel.
The base pay range for this position is $99,000 to $170,200 The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
