Primary Responsibilities:The Process Improvement Manager will support the optimization of KeHE’s business processes and continuous improvement. The primary objective will be to have a thorough understanding of all processes and day in the life responsibilities for various job roles on the team. This role will train individuals on system capabilities and process training. As with all positions at KeHE, we expect that all actions will be consistent with KeHE’s Mission, Vision and Values.
Essential Functions:DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process Improvement
- Participate in all design sessions of system implementations, owning the process definition, documentation and sign-off of valid business process specifications.
- Build the Day in the Life (DITL) processes for all roles on the team.
- Conduct interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs), super users, and cross functional partners to understand how their processes work.
- Create process compliance guardrails for all roles and build metrics tracking methods to ensure process discipline and compliance.
- Understand the business problems and system capability enhancements required to solve them through leveraging out of the box system capabilities or customizing the system solution.
- Build processes that advance the usage of technology and system capabilities for the teams.
- Work cross functionally with other teams to develop process guard rails on any impact from these functions’ processes to the transportation function.
- Owner of all communication aspects on new functionalities impacting our large supplier base along with owning communications on changes related functionalities impacting our large customer base.
Change Management
- Identify creative ways to keep business users engaged and continuously educated in a new remote world,
- Drive targeted, sustainable improvement by leveraging consulting skills and change management processes.
- Be the central point of contact for all related communications to stakeholders including our suppliers and customers.
Business Intelligence/ Analytics
- Train the teams on reports or dashboards.
- Guide the user community with not only pulling historical data, but also by coaching on pro-active usage of data to help accomplish transportation KPIs.
Learning & Development
- Fully understand the job roles and responsibilities to create clear, concise processes.
- Develop learning material to align with KeHE’s growing business model.
- Acknowledge innovative ways to leverage technology in training.
- Determine appropriate methods for learning and development based on present state of programs and processes.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
- High level understanding of business functions.
- Be the Positive Change Agent, attract and recruit other champions of change to influence and coach the broader Supply Chain team in embracing change.
- Ability to draft effective communication to different internal and external stakeholders on impact due to system changes and process impacts, etc.
- Ability to speak comfortably and present in front of large audiences.
- Ability to identify how processes should be built by a combination of sources like Planning systems, reporting systems and transactional systems to help make decisions on day-to-day operations by transportation analysts and planners.
- High level understanding of reporting and analytical systems.
- Ability to effectively manage a wide variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Tenacious focus on identifying opportunities, pursuing solutions, and achieving results.
- Effective time management and project management skills with an obsessive attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Word skills.
- A demonstrated passion for training, process, and procedure
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations, or Analytics.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in distribution, retail or consumer goods industry.
- Experience with Transportation and Supply Chain systems (Manhattan, JDA, etc.) is a plus.
