The Manager of Product Design is experienced in user experience and product design with a human-centered approach to design mobile, digital & web applications that are intuitive, innovative and one’s that people love to use. This role will oversee the workload, goals, professional development, provide direction and oversight on UX solutions, as well as inter-personal leadership of a team of dynamic UX professionals. The Manager will oversee user experience design, product design, work processes, workflow, native iOS & Android app UX/UI, UX/UI for an array of HCA Healthcare digital products.
The Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and assigning the work to a group of UX Product Designers. They are expected to work closely with functional leaders throughout the rest of ITG, setting technical and creative direction while leading innovation throughout. The position will require full control over staff workload, and performs goals-based performance assessments. The position also is expected to provide recommendations on merit and promotions, hiring, and cultivation of the growth of the team.

Major Responsibilities:
• Take direction from the Sr. Director of User Experience Center of Excellence
• Leading a dynamic team of UX professionals
• Adhere to Neutron Design System while enhancing digital products
• Manage design sprints, work load and processes
• Manage peer reviews and design direction of product design work
• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to achieve through others
• Lead product design and tactical solutions by engaging with and assisting on high profile projects and products
• Be responsible for managing projects, on time and on budget
• Manage the personal development planning and execution for the team
• Strategic roadmap management for products and design/UX standards
• Ability to inspire others into action and strong organizational skills
• Evangelize the strengths and consistency of design and how it can improve end user experiences
• Strong desire to grow professionally and to help others achieve
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Strong C-Level communication skills
• Possess strong leadership skills and high emotional quotient and interpersonal skills
• Comfortability to present to business stakeholders, field partners and colleagues

• Familiar with responsive, mobile, kiosk, television and other digital platforms

EDUCATION
• Bachelor's degree in human computer interaction, user experience, product design, graphic design, or associated field required
EXPERIENCE
• 7+ years of experience in user experience or design-related role(s) required
Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors Required:
Empathetic and growth mindset with a willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and methodologies.
Leading knowledge of human-centered design and UX best-practices (e.g. user research, usability testing, moderated/unmoderated interviews, etc.).
Expert understanding and ability to use relevant design and UX tools and platforms (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC, InVision, UserTesting, etc.).
Experienced in thoughtful conversations and stakeholder interactions in a way that drives productive user-centered solutions with UX-thinking at its core.
Expert ability and skill in executing one or many of these design practices: UX design, UI design, interaction design, visual design, and product design.
Expert ability to influence UX best practices while working closely with cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams
Experienced in mentoring colleagues as they learn and grow in UX discipline and practice
Expert ability to present complex UX information succinctly to various audiences verbally and in writing.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Leading ability to work both independently and on a team.
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
