Responsibilities:We currently have a great opportunity available for a Product Manager. The Product Manager is responsible for the upstream product management and marketing of the Sysmex America Inc. portfolio. The position is responsible for creating “best-in-class” strategic marketing and sales plans / programs and for all aspects of product life cycle management to assist Sysmex in achieving its business objectives in All Americas. This position is also responsible for providing in-depth market and industry knowledge, competitive analysis to assist in developing product and market business plans to achieve sales and market share goals, establishing a core of resident Sysmex product knowledge for existing and competitive products, assisting in training sales and application roles and launching new products that achieve mid-term plan goals and meet target requirements. The Product Manager proactively communicates and works in alignment with all departments within Sysmex and conducts all initiatives professionally, within legal, regulatory, and Sysmex standards. The Product Manager demonstrates a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, organizational impact, and ability to manage products and people, within established timelines to meet departmental and company objectives. This individual can also effectively determine data and market research needs and obtain necessary sales and marketing information to make sound business decisions. This role could support the following product lines, Urinalysis, flow cytometry, hematology, Informatics.
The Product Manager (PM) will develop and execute marketing strategies that drive business growth while ensuring the integration of ethical AI practices in our informatics products. This role requires a strong understanding of marketing principles, product development, and the healthcare industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Marketing Acumen
- Develop and execute marketing introduction plans for new informatics products, including market research, competitive analysis, pricing strategies, maintain marketing materials, including product brochures, website content, and sales collaterals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure alignment and effective product launches
2. Product Management
- Support the development of informatics products, ensuring that they meet customer needs and remain competitive in the market
- Collaborate with product development teams to define product requirements and ensure that products meet business objectives including developing and maintaining product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business strategies and market trends
3. Ethical AI Practices
- Stay up to date with industry developments and best practices in AI ethics, ensuring that our informatics products adhere to these principles, including Developing and maintaining documentation on AI ethics and data governance for informatics products
- Collaborate with product development teams to integrate ethical AI practices into product design and development
4. Competitive Analysis and Pricing
- Conduct competitive analysis to inform product development and marketing strategies
- Develop and maintain pricing strategies, ensuring that they are competitive and aligned with business objectives
5. Support Plans
- Develop and execute support plans for informatics products, including training, documentation, and customer support
- Collaborate with customer support teams to ensure that customer needs are met and that support plans are effective
6. Other duties as assigned
Percentage of Travel: 25-30%
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in business or in the scientific field required. 5-8 years of relevant work experience OR an associate’s degree with 5-8 years of clinical laboratory experience required. Master’s degree with a specialization in business preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of major Sysmex and competitive systems.
- Core understanding of IVD, general clinical laboratory science and/or Information Systems
- Specific technical expert in area of specialty and key source of information
- Proven IVD marketing and/or sales experience.
- Experience in life cycle management is a plus
- Highly proficient MS Office applications – Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with AI technologies and ethical AI practices
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills
- Ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
