Job Description
The Manager, Quality Business Analytics is responsible for incorporating and integrating data science and analytical best practices into current quality business practices and processes. This person will help the organization understand the principles and processes to drive organizational buy-in, provide on-going tracking and monitoring on the performance of decision systems and statistical models. Lead department metrics development and reporting on a regular and ad hoc basis.
The incumbent will drive integration of systems to facilitate timely measurement and reporting to drive proactive decision making and actions across the global Olympus quality network. This individual will serve to educate the organization on how to create models and frameworks to solve critical business problems and predict future results.
This role will lead and continuously improve predictive quality analytics including forecasting, data gathering and modelling. This individual will execute other key projects as required. This position offers opportunities to partner cross functionally to drive a clear strategy for compliance, provides high visibility and is established as a key position in a high performing team. This role provides significant visibility across the regions and Global leadership.
Job Duties
+ Serve as Quality Core team member supporting divisional analytics reporting for post market surveillance, new product introductions, sustaining engineering programs and global quality operations
+ Gather complex data inputs from multiple data sources both internally and externally
+ Identify new data sources that can be used to enhance business outcomes
+ Leverage new data collection processes to minimize “hands-on” time & reduce collection errors
+ Identify and automate data mining practices for large data sets to support analysis and drive insights
+ Make strategic recommendations based on predictive analytics
+ Provide on-going tracking and monitoring on the performance of decision systems and statistical models
+ Facilitate Complaint Review Boards
+ Support data generation for Health Hazard Assessments
Job Qualifications
Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, mathematics, computer sciences, or STEM discipline required.
+ Minimum of 7 years of experience in Post Market, Design Assurance, Quality Engineering
+ Fluency with database querying (SQL), relational databases, Business Objects, Salesforce, Omniture, Tableau, SAS, etc.
+ Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and other applicable standards.
+ Occasional Travel Required for meetings and projects, and to periodically meet with employees in other part of the country.
Preferred:
+ Fluency with global secondary data systems
+ Able to lead and drive a self-directed organization.
+ Ability to read and understand technical and statistical documents.
+ Ability to interface with technical and non-technical personnel.
+ Strong communicator (written and verbal) who can effectively communicate up, down, and across a global organization.
+ Proven mindset of proactive continuous improvement
