About the Job
We are searching for a Quality and Safety Manager for the community based hospitals -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide formal leadership to staff and informal leadership to the medical staff, hospital leadership and others by contributing to and maintaining continuity in the planning, development and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards applicable to the quality and safety program. You will split your time between the hospital in Katy and the hospital in The Woodlands.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Master's preferred
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Texas Board of Nursing or State Licensure
Compact - CPHQ certification preferred
- PROF MGM certification preferred
- 4 years' experience in clinical, education, or performance improvement/data analytics required
- 2 years management experience preferred
- Partners with staff, medical staff, and hospital leadership to ensure excellence in the performance improvement, patient safety, outcomes management, and accreditation programs as evidenced by trend identification and regulatory agency reports of compliance
- Creates and facilitates collaboration and cooperation among diverse groups, people and professional disciplines to achieve the desired results in improving patient care and safety
- Provides leadership, education and direction to the medical staff, hospital leadership and staff in the development of policies, procedures and plans necessary for the smooth execution of accreditation requirements set forth by JCAHO and CMS
- Actively commits to the on-going development of self and department staff to achieve professional goals. Coaches, develops and manages staff to assure continual refinement and development of new skills
- Demonstrates project management skills as evidenced by the utilization of appropriate methodology, analysis and facilitation skills. Submits monthly report indicating progress on all departmental projects
- Demonstrates astute fiscal accountability as evidenced by the appropriate projection, management and justification of resources, which includes personnel, equipment, supplies and capital expenditures
