The Manager - Real Estate Development is a hands-on, team-oriented professional with experience in real estate or a related industry. This role involves collaborating with the local team to develop a shared vision and execute a strategy for successful project completion. The manager will be engaged in all phases of development projects, from acquisition through to completion, including leasing, asset management, and divestment. Responsibilities include participating in financial and market analysis, securing entitlements, overseeing design and construction, and leasing assets. The role requires a practical understanding of commercial office, mixed-use, and/or multifamily activities, as well as the ability to develop and maintain a network within the DC real estate community.
Manager - Real Estate Development Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from land acquisition and sourcing to design and construction. This includes daily oversight of contractors, contracts, schedules, and financial forecasting.
- 5+ years of experience conducting comprehensive financial analysis and feasibility studies, project valuation and real estate finance, cost control, funding, and accurate project reporting.
- 5+ years of experience conducting comprehensive financial analysis and feasibility studies, project valuation, real estate finance, cost control, funding, and accurate project reporting.
- 5+ years of experience managing entitlements, zoning processes, and ensuring adherence to sustainable building concepts and certifications such as ILFI.org and LEED®.
- 5+ years of experience in leasing and marketing efforts, managing property and asset operations, and maintaining relationships with subcontractors and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree – construction, engineering, architecture, real estate, finance, or other relevant specialization or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 5 years prior relevant experience.
