REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
- Management/Supervisory experience required
- Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills – verbally and written
- Good working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, and word processing programs
- Travel to branches or other locations as required to perform assigned duties
- Maintain a valid motor vehicle operators' license
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
- Plan and coordinate the activities of the Rental Store to meet the objectives of the department & Company
- Develop and present information in a written and/or verbal manner to communicate or promote various Cat Rental Store programs and proposals internally and externally
- Utilizes various information systems to ensure effective utilization of Company rental inventory, conduct necessary Rental Store business analysis, develop budgets, and otherwise manage Rental Store activity and profitability within assigned area
- Analyze and interpret operating results as they affect the financial aspects of Rental Store Operations
- Develop and present information to management, employees, and customers to inform, persuade, or promote Rental Store programs, processes, and cost management
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction as indicated by sales volume, market share & customer surveys
- Visit customers and participate in other customer meetings and resolve customer controversies
- Analyze, interpret & monitor operating procedures & results, identify & correct inefficiencies
- Provide direction and leadership to ensure quality, cost effective, timely support of Rental Store operations
- Identify, obtain, and maintain equipment and tooling required to provide quality, cost effective service to Rental Store customers in a timely manner
- Assist and participate with Sales Representatives in overall sales and marketing activities of the branch
- Develop and execute branch marketing, sales, and financial plans
- Manage maintenance of facility, grounds, machinery, tools, and product support vehicles to maintain an efficient and clean operation
- Hire, train, and supervise staff
- Work with employees to set aggressive professional and achievable goals to enhance the employees performance
- Evaluate employee performance on a regular basis and prepare the related Position Descriptions, Performance Appraisals, and salary administration
- Ensure all staff follow corporate and departmental standards and practices and take disciplinary action when required
- Recommend to manager ideas to improve the departments operating procedures or business practices and participate in and support continuous improvement of all related activities and processes ( E )
- Project a positive image by interacting with fellow employees, customers, and management in a cooperative, supportive, and courteous manner; display a professional attitude; comply with company dress code ( C, S )
- Create and maintain good communications (verbally and in writing) and relationships with other Company departments, branches, employees, outside vendors, and customers by addressing and resolving concerns quickly ( C )
