Our client is a renowned global developer of quality specialty chemicals supporting the manufacturing of homecare and personal care products. They are looking to add a Manager, Supply Chain to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$120k – $130 Depending on experience.
Position Overview:
The successful Manager, Supply Chain will formulate, oversee, and implement supply chain strategies to achieve corporate goals in driving global and domestic logistics movements, inventory management, and optimizing distribution network efficiency.
Responsibilities Manager, Supply Chain:
- Strategic Partner: Create a comprehensive plan for the supply chain process to increase efficacy and efficiency. Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to advance the goals of the company.
- Logistics and Inventory Management: Oversee the Americas’ rail, road, maritime, intermodal, and other logistics operations. Control warehouse management and S&OP systems. Keep an eye on and guarantee adherence to several legal and audit needs. To guarantee excellent service delivery, cultivate relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistical partners. Discuss terms and prices with both domestic and foreign logistics service providers.
- Service Excellence: Improve quality goals by keeping an eye on effectiveness metrics. Put corrective preventive action plans into effect. Deliver the logistics plan on time to guarantee that the final products are available when the customer requests them. Examine the same in real-time. At a predetermined interval, report performance metrics to the leadership.&
- Leading Team: Create, guide, and develop a high-achieving team that meets objectives and produces the best possible outcomes, value addition, and continuous improvement. As part of the overall strategy, set departmental goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) and evaluate team performance regularly.
- Process Improvements: Simplify logistical procedures to satisfy client and business needs while concentrating on cost-cutting initiatives. Execute and oversee logistics digitalization initiatives to increase productivity. Adopt and suggest cutting-edge logistics technology to enhance operational procedures.
Qualifications for the Manager, Supply Chain:
- Experience in a logistics or supply chain management role within chemical manufacturing, the consumer goods industry, chemical distribution, or related environments.
- Certified CSCP / CPSM / CPIM / CLTD / APICS certification is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of contemporary supply chain software and tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of global trade regulations and compliance.
- Experience in SAP.
- Project management skills.
- Leadership skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics is required.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
