Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the Marketing Science - Direct team and should have extensive experience in direct marketing and experimental design. The primary focus of this role is to capture, nurture, engage, and retain customers through strategic direct marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Experimental Design: Develop and execute test and learn agendas to drive the evolution of direct marketing channels. This includes setting a clear vision, creating a testing roadmap, and establishing a testing structure to derive actionable insights for direct marketing channels.
- Measurement: Create comprehensive measurement plans and implement a unified business intelligence solution for direct marketing channels. This involves selecting appropriate measurement tools, negotiating direct campaign KPIs, and delivering business intelligence solutions across multiple levers within direct marketing channels.
- Leadership: Take charge of leading the direct marketing team and fostering their motivation. Additionally, proactively plan for the long-term development of the team's capabilities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in direct marketing and experimental design, preferably in a leadership role.
- Hands-on data science experience required.
- Strong knowledge of direct marketing channels, including email marketing, direct mail, SMS marketing, and other relevant channels.
- Proficiency in designing and executing experiments, and the ability to draw actionable insights from data.
- Familiarity with various measurement tools and techniques used in direct marketing, such as attribution modeling, A/B testing, and ROI analysis.
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.
