Manager of Pharmacy - GEMCORE

GEM Edwards Pharmacy, a division of GEMCORE Health, is a mail order pharmacy that operates during standard business hours: Monday-Friday from 8:15am-5:00pm. We are closed all major holidays. We have a rewarding opportunity as a Manager of Pharmacy. The Manager of Pharmacy will supervise the activities of Pharmacy personnel; including, Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacy Support personnel. This role is key in overseeing daily dispensing and distribution operations while maintaining compliance with all regulatory agencies.

This is a new role within our team as we expect growth on the horizon. We just began building a brand-new pharmacy on our property in Hudson, OH with expected completion date of this fall! This role will work out of our Hudson, OH pharmacy. GEMCORE’s continued success has earned us national recognition with Inc. Key Responsibilities for the Manager of Pharmacy:

• Manage a team of about 10; team is comprised of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacy Support personnel

• Maintain policies and procedures for the procurement, storage, compounding, and dispensing of drugs

• Assist in the review and maintenance of payor contracts and obligations

• Help maintain a Performance Improvement (PI) Program

• Account for all scheduled drugs (3, 4 & 5) in the pharmacy

• Obtain and maintain all required licenses and certifications

Key Requirements for the Manager of Pharmacy:

• BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy

• State of Ohio Pharmacist License in good standing. Multistate licenses is highly preferred

• 3-5 years of pharmacy management experience required.

• Must exhibit excellent telephone, customer service and computer skills with the desire to represent the department in a professional and courteous manner

• Ability to problem solve and establish trust

• Possess a high level of product knowledge and highly developed communication skills
