Job Summary and Qualifications

Together with the direction of the Director of Surgical Services, the Manager of Surgical Services (Pre-surg/Children’s/Endo/PACU) develops policies and procedures, patient care standards, budgets and quality improvement programs that ensure compliance with all hospital service and regulatory agency standards and procedures.

• You will be responsible for planning, administering, coordinating, supervising and evaluating the daily operations of the Surgical Services unit.
• You will be assigning duties to department personnel based on patient needs, staffing availability, and work priority to ensure high quality of patient care.
• You will be serving as resource person for resolving operational and patient care problems.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN required, MSN preferred.
• Valid California Registered Nurse License
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1-3 years' managerial/leadership experience within Surgical Services
