Your Mission: The Manager of Total Rewards will partner with talent solutions, operations and finance teams to support budgeting cycles and evaluate the financial impacts of various compensation and benefit programs. Also will oversee and manage designing and implementing various employee compensation programs including but not limited to salary administration, annual compensation review cycles, job evaluation, and incentive plans.
The Manager of Total Rewards (MTR) will also establish benefit programs to support the company's goals and competitive practices that are aligned with the employee value proposition and are sound business decisions for the company, while maintaining company's cost.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic partner to Talent Solutions and Operational leadership to develop total compensation offerings with the highest ROI that will positively influence employee wellness, engagement, and retention.
- Facilitates benefit information meetings and training regarding online enrollment by employees in benefit plans.
- Oversees the management and reporting requirements of a self-insured medical and dental plan. Analyzes and provides recommendations to control costs and create initiatives to address health of staff.
- Leads the management and oversight of the Company's Wellness programs, including oversight of community programs, ensuring activities that encourage and increase wellness participation.
- Develops internal communication avenues regarding benefits and compensations and ensures the accuracy of data on any company portals or other forms of employee communication regarding the same.
- Manages company benefit enrollment and relationships with vendors, as well as compliance with ACA and other legal and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensures the secure transfer of accurate data and payment of benefit invoices. Performs audits to ensure accurate and on-time payments as well as staff enrollment.
- Evaluates and develops processes to provide excellent customer service and data for analysis using the HRIS and other tools. Acts as the expert user and administrator of benefit plans and processes within the HRIS system.
- Facilitates resolution of issues for employees regarding coverage with insurers. Provides expert advice regarding coordination of benefits and company leave policies.
- Demonstrates proficiency in the design and implementation of compensation, payroll and benefits plans, while ensuring that government reporting requirements are met.
- Develops salary administration programs and structures as well as determining pay levels and grade structure. Participates in salary surveys to insure company compensation is in line with the company's compensation philosophy. Provides recommendations for the development of incentive programs.
- Manages annual re-evaluation of benefit programs for cost effectiveness and legal compliance, and conducts market comparisons.
- Evaluates job classifications and conducts benchmarking for new and existing positions.
- Executes and manages functions related to the creation of job descriptions, assignment of job codes annually.
- Maintains a solid foundation in the analysis and impact of business financials.
- Demonstrates effective communication (verbal and written), negotiation, and presentation skills. Is comfortable working with and presenting to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
- Is skillful in establishing and achieving goals. Is resourceful and able to both manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
- Serves as company's HIPAA Compliance Officer as well as administrator and fiduciary on the Benefit Plan Administration and Investment Committees.
- Demonstrates ability to be influential and establish positive working relationships across the organization.
- Is responsible for Corporate staff's benefit file maintenance.
- Processes COBRA notification.
- Demonstrate the Sun Health Vibrant Living culture and provides all customers/audience with an excellent service experience.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications:
- Analytical skills. Analytical skills are essential for the MTR. In addition to analyzing data on salaries and the cost of benefits, he or she must assess and devise programs that best fit our Company and our employees.
- Business acumen. MTR must manage a budget, build a case for his or her recommendations, and understand how compensation and benefits plans affect the company's finances.
- Leadership skills. The MTR must coordinate the work activities of other HR staff and properly administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring work is completed accurately and on schedule.
- Must have a college degree (preferably in Human Resources, Business, Finance or other related field) or equivalent work experience, certifications, or combination of any of the above.
- Certified HR Professional Preferred.
- Certified Benefits Professional Certification or Certified Compensation Professional desirable.
- Experience as a compensation and benefits manager or similar role.
- Hands on experience with HRIS or payroll software.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations as they apply to base compensation and incentive compensation programs, company policies, and operations.
- At least one year of experience managing subordinates.
- Strong computer skills, including Word and Excel; strong HRIS experience (Kronos experience preferred).
- Pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
- Possess current or has the ability to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
