POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The 2nd shift Manufacturing Changeover Technician is responsible for the changeover of production lines between product runs. This will include disassembly of equipment, cleaning, and re-assembly/set-up, and assisting the Associate Technicians in fine-tuning of the line to run the next product. This position will receive direction from the Maintenance Leadership Team and work closely with the Sanitation team, Production team, and Associate Technician line owners to ensure schedule adherence.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Take daily direction for job priorities from Maintenance Leadership.
- Perform line set ups ahead of production schedule to minimize line down time.
- Work exclusively in a team, operating with a “pit crew “organization and sense of importance.
- Disassemble production packaging line after completion of run, observing for any signs of missing parts, excessive part wear, broken parts, or any concerns.
- Report to Maintenance Leadership of any worn, defective parts, damaged pipes, or line concerns immediately.
- Administer cleaning of all disassembled parts.
- Re-assemble the production line according to next run specifications (i.e., bottle width, bottle height, cap size, label specs, corrugate case size, etc.).
- Effective written/verbal communication to fellow team members and leadership as to line status, and changeover coordination schedules.
- Perform all duties within OSHA safety rules and regulations at all times.
- Rigorously adhere to all GMPs and SOPs.
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills:
- Good mechanical proficiency
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly team oriented
- High attention to detail, and demonstrated quality workmanship
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written English
- This position will require the employee to operate a motorized powered lift i.e. Forklift, Scissor lift, one man lift, etc. A MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) will determine an employee’s eligibility to operate these lifts.
***A Valid driver's license is required for this position.***
Experience:
- 6 months in a Production role (within Herbalife – internal candidates) OR 1 year of experience performing equipment changes in a manufacturing, mechanical or similar field which include equipment set up and take downs (external candidates)
Education:
- High School or GED graduate.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience operating in a GMP environment
- Experience with powder or liquid packaging equipment
